Hi, I'm Lisa, a storyteller with experience in content writing, copywriting, editing, and social media.

Here's a nice icebreaker story:

In elementary school, I would often forgo doing assigned work to write stories on full-scap paper (do they even use those anymore?)

Eventually, my teachers took notice, and in 6th grade, I was chosen out of my entire elementary school (thousands of students) to attend a special creative writing and art function at one of the local high schools in my area. The event was a full day and gave us access to industry professionals who wanted to engage kids in their craft and help them hone it with advice and guidance. The event exposed me to writing professionals and made me feel like one day, I could do that for a living.

Some years later, I'm where I am today partly due to that encouragement. I decided to get my Bachelor of Communications degree and focus my skills on all types of writing, from blog posts and website copy to internal and external communications.

Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate enough to develop my skills writing content for a wide range of industry verticals, including SaaS, big data, AI, ecommerce, law, regulated industries like healthcare, and even textiles. I’m tech-savvy (able to seamlessly work with technical-minded individuals such as programmers and web developers), adaptable, and focused on providing high-quality content that matches the intended focus (e.g., brand awareness, education, or conversion). I also have experience in social media management, email management, corporate communications, and more.

Over the years, I've:

- Helped grow a pet supplement company's blog traffic to an average of 9,000 sessions per month, as well as a 78% increase in organic revenue growth

- Was part of a content team that grew a legal document company's blog from a few hundred views a month to around 100,000

- Wrote web copy and blog articles for many different industry verticals

- Helped manage social media for one of the largest malls in the world, which included attending events and capturing and posting stories in real-time

- Trained and helped junior writers develop their skills and flourish

- Dipped my toes into photography (product shots for a fabric company)
